Game Basics
What Is Blackjack and How to Play It at c9bet
Blackjack is one of the most popular casino games in the world, including in Malaysia. The objective is simple: get a card total closer to 21 than the dealer, without going over.

Choose a Blackjack Table
Go to the Live Casino section at c9bet and pick a blackjack table that suits your betting limits.
Place Your Bet
Before the cards are dealt, place your chips on the table within the allotted time. The dealer will deal two cards to each player.
Hit, Stand or Double
Choose Hit (take an extra card), Stand (keep your current hand), Double Down (double your bet) or Split (separate a pair) according to the situation.
Dealer Reveal and Result
After all players have made their decisions, the dealer reveals the hidden card. The winner is determined by who is closest to or reaches 21.
Blackjack pays at 3:2 on most c9bet tables. A total of exactly 21 with the first two cards (Ace + 10-value card) counts as a natural blackjack, which is the best win in the game.

Game Strategy
Basic Blackjack Strategy You Should Know
Blackjack is not just luck — there is a mathematical basis behind every hand decision. Understanding basic strategy helps you make better decisions and reduce the house edge consistently.
At c9bet, players from across Malaysia — including those playing from the Klang Valley area — regularly use the basic strategy chart as a guide when playing live blackjack. The chart explains when to Hit, Stand, Double Down or Split based on your hand and the dealer's upcard.
When to Stand: If your hand total is 17 or more, basic strategy generally recommends Standing, especially if the dealer's upcard shows a low value (2–6).
When to Double Down: A total of 11 is the best opportunity to Double Down, particularly when the dealer's upcard is 2–10. This maximises your winning potential.
When to Split: Always split Aces and eights. Avoid splitting tens because a total of 20 is already very strong. Split sixes only if the dealer shows 2–6.
Advanced Techniques
Additional Techniques for c9bet Players
Once you are comfortable with basic strategy, online blackjack players at c9bet can explore these additional techniques.
Bankroll Management
Set a session limit before you start playing. Avoid betting more than 5% of your account balance per hand so your session lasts longer and stays in control.
Read the Dealer's Card
The dealer's upcard is the most important piece of information. The dealer must Hit until 17 — use this to estimate the likelihood of the dealer busting.
Avoid Insurance Bets
An insurance bet is offered when the dealer shows an Ace. Statistically, this gives the house an advantage — careful players generally avoid this option.
Consistent Decision-Making
Decisions driven by emotion after a bad hand often lead to bigger losses. Stick to your basic strategy regardless of the outcome of previous hands.
Know the Table Rules
Each table at c9bet may have slightly different rules — number of decks, Double after Split rules, and whether Surrender is allowed. Read them before you play.
Make Use of Soft Hands
A hand containing an Ace (soft hand) gives you more flexibility. Soft 18 against a dealer's 9, 10 or Ace is generally better played as a Hit because the chance of winning with a Stand is lower.
